first, when you first find the eggs, mark the top of the eggs with a felt tip pen. then you know what side is up. then always make sure you keep that side up. if not the babys will suffocate when the eggs get rotated.
then, add some water to the substrate. i see you are using vermiculite. do not make it soggy, but it should be moist enough so that when you squeeze it in your fist some water drops out. really you should have this set up before they eggs are laid.
then bury the eggs halfway, so that half is below substrate and half is above.
it is probably too late by now, but i think if you do this for the next clutch they should be fine. also, make sure the substrate never gets dry. if you put a lid on your container (with one or two pencil sized holes), you should not have to mist the eggs.
your gecko is not too old to be laying eggs. in theory they should be perfectly healthy. really, if you do what i said, then i think they should be fine.
