Is he drinking from his water dish? Sometimes you can get Reptiaid (sp?) or other appetite stimulents from pet stores, you can mix it up and feed it to them with a cirringe (sp?) It is also getting close to breeding season for fat tails which starts in November. They slow down their eating when it gets to be about a month or two before breeding season (Brumation (sp?). If there are any local vets that treat herps you can take in a fecal sample to make sure there are no parasites as well. And when they get bigger, they eat less, sometimes too many crickets in their cage can stress them out like when he went into hiding when you put him down. Maybe two or three crickets at first and offer him more if he still seems hungry. None of my fat tails eat meal worms or super worms, but a less hoppy treat like a butterworm, which can sometimes be purchases at a bait shop can get him interested. Those are just some thoughts. I hope he'll be ok.
