Sorry, no pics for you. But we keep our monilis and castlenaui in large Sterilite bins with newspaper substrate. We provide vines and/or egg crates for climbing areas. We also provide a water dish, mealworm dish, and calcium powder dish.

Heat is provided with heat tape on the side of the bin, thermostatically controlled.

Humidity is kept at a moderate level through mistings every few days.

Here are 3 of my Oedura terrariums (33x40x65cm - 13x15,5x27,5 inch) for 1,2 - 1.3 castelnaui, lesueurii and monilis.

Sorry for the bad quality.

Regards, Michael

My Oedura set-ups are similar to my Strophurus set-ups.

Nice setup Michael

Is that by any chance influenced by the way people keep Phelsuma's?

Do you keep your tryoni the same way?

Hi Jan,

I use the plants (Sansevierien, don`t know the english word) just for keeping the humidity. But the geckos also use them for climbing.
I keep the tryoni the same way but the terrarium size is a little bit bigger 50x30x70cm (length, depth, height).
I`m planing a new gecko room and new terrariums. The Oedura terrariums have the size 33x50x70cm (length, depth, height).

Do you experience that the geckos lay their eggs in the Sansevieripots? or do they use boxes you have placed in the terraria?

I'm about to make a setup for Phelsumas and Oedura, and it would suite me very well visually if i can place Sansevieria in the Oedura enclosures as well (making the terrarie look almost identical).
