Hi Guys,

Hopefully this works. Apologies if it doesn't. Looks like the pair of Taenicauda will be delivered to work on Monday. As soon as they arrive I'll take some pickies for you. The photos of them on this post were sent to me by the current owner. Any ideas on names? They're pets, so I HAVE to name them, hehehe!

Love my little ones. Priscilla throws herself off the topmost branch all the way to the floor (about 50cm) when she first sees me in the evening in the hope that it's feeding night. When she hits the floor she runs over to the front of the tank waiting for the doors to open! Very cute! Cupboard love of course, hehehe!

Hope you like them :0)

Oh dear....they didn't turn out very big. Any idea how I make them bigger? I used Scott's suggestion of 'Imagevenue'.

sorry about that Sarah, i dont used hosting sites so i wasnt sure which ones were good. what you posted are thumbnails and will work fine if you dont mind people having to click them to see them.

btw..they are really great looking strophs. :)

Thanks guys, I love them to bits! Here's a pic taken a couple of nights ago of Bruce starting his shed. So cute!

I am next getting the Katherine form of Cilliaris. Rather than the grey patterned version like Bruce and Priscilla they are brown with orange splotches (picture is of parents and not very good, but the only one the breeder sent me). They should be ready mid-November.

I am on waiting lists this season for a pair of Amyae (won't be a sexed pair, just pot luck what I end up with!) and am also on lists with breeders for any species of adult breeding pairs that become available. I'd rather start with specimins that I am certain are a pair. You have to hold reptiles for a minimum of six months here, so if you buy any reptiles, you aren't allowed to sell them or even give them away until you have had them for six months.

Enjoy the pickies! Any other suggestions for hosting sites?

Also wanted to ask, Bruce and Priscilla often change colour. Sometimes they are almost white, and other times they are almost back, but are mainly a mid to dark grey colour. Does everyone elses Ciliaris change colour often too?

Have also attached a pickie of Bruce and Priscilla basking together. As you can see, Bruce is his normal grey self, but Priscilla has gone very very pale. Weird huh?

Good luck with getting the amyae, they are great geckos to work with. One of my favourites! Do you ever see the striped Strophurus like jeanae or taeniatus for sale?

By the way here is a link to a good free image hosting site http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/index.php keep them photo's coming!

Hi Justin,

As I've only just gotten gecko fever I haven't seen what's available in season (coming into season now - our summer). I am lucky enough to have a vet near me who breeds just about every Australian species of gecko allowed to be kept in captivity. I don't have the full list of what he should have available this year as it's at work, but on Monday I'll copy it here. He's the guy who's list I am on for the Amyae and he's one of the people who's list I am on for breeding/adult pairs too.

It will be interesting to see what comes available this summer as through the winter, it's difficult to get anything.

Here's a couple of links to the most widely used herp advertising sites in Australia. Thought you might find them interesting to look at?

I'm terrible for photos...you'll probably be totally inundated with them when my pair of Taenicauda arrive (hopefully Monday!). I tend to get a bit over-excited, hehehe!
