Do you mean the difference between O. marmorata Eastern and Western forms?

If so Western form O. marmorata have thick flat, wide tails and Eastern have long tubular tails.

Here is a pic of an Western http://www.raregeckos.com/wmarmorata.html

And here is an Eastern http://www.diversetravel.com.au/html/pic2.htm

Hi

This

Phyllodactylus (Oedura) Castelnaui THOMINOT 1889 (partim)
Oedura mayeri GARMAN 1901
Oedura tryoni - ZIETZ 1920 (partim)
-> Oedura marmorata - LOVERIDGE 1934 (partim)
Oedura castelnaui - BUSTARD 1970
Oedura castelnauxi - TINKLE & GIBBONS 1977
Oedura castelnaui - KLUGE 1993
Oedura castelnaui - COGGER 2000: 260

Is not a mistake - this only means that untill Bustards publication of 1970 castelnaui was regarded as being a part of marmorata (synonymized with marmorata). It was resurrected in 1970.
