Incredible animal, Greg. How does she compare in size to S.c.ciliaris? I've had some very large S.c.ciliaris females (would take a day old mouse without hesitation!).

Hi Tom:
She is 13cm total length. I could see her possibly eating a day old pinkie.
Thanks
Greg

Greg, great aberrans! I didn't know you got back into strophurus. Please drop me an e-mail in the next few days, it's been forever! Among other things, i wanna ask you a few questions about your vet school, i got some information from them in the mail today.

What a beautiful animal. How do you tell the difference between C. Ciliaris and C. Aberrans?

Hi Sarah,
S. c. aberrans tend to be a bit bigger and bulkier than c. ciliaris, also as Stefan mentioned in this post http://www.geckosunlimited.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1985 aberrans have the red color in th eyes. Also Jerry states on his site www.strophurus.com that the non-spinose scales on aberrans tail are tubercular rather than flat as with ciliaris... wait, didn;t you ask that before? lol
