taken today, the male was grumpy as usual, but the female sat still for some shots.

Nice. This is another species I'd like to own one day. (Like there's one I don't.)

The rocks from where? I ask because I notice part of a fish skeleton on it. Greenriver River Shale of Wyoming perhaps?

Best,

Chuck

P.S. Nice gecko also.

http://www.geckosunlimited.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1463 is the set up, i keep them on a sand substrate, not the pebbles, thats for picture-purposes only, the fossil [no one else notices but you thanks ;)] is one i bought... i dont know.. 10 years ago in oregon. i dont remember if the guy went out and got them himself, or if i got it in a rock shop, which i have been known to frequent, so i dont know the exact origin. and i would LOVE to breed them, but i havent really looked into it yet. a few times the female appeared to gain a gram and then loose it, and we thought she might have laid some eggs, but none were ever found, theyve been cooling quite a bit this winter, yet still eating well, and i think im going to start looking into care information so i can breed them.

http://hem.bredband.net/geckos/english/ENG-geckos-frame.html has a list of articles on the bottom, but most are european. Don't ask me why I had that link for a species I don't own.

That Bartlett (spelling?) (general) Gecko book also has a section on them that talks about breeding if I remember.
