why are there so few Pristurus sokotranus or any Pristurus in the hobby? There are sooo many cool geckos that are never imported :(

Most species of Pristurus are native to war-torn countries, therefore they are next to impossible to import. They are very cool though

From what I understand, it is illegal to export from Oman where many of these species originate. The Sultan does not allow it. You would have a hard time getting legal imports.

Bear in mind this is info I collected from the marine aquarium hobby - (there is a clownfish found only in Oman) - so things may be different.

Beautiful gecko, btw. I bet pics don't do the species any justice.
