View Full Version : A few African Geckos....

Just showing some pics of a couple of geckos in my collection...
Homopholis fasciata
and a darker male...
A couple Geckolepis.... (I'll say G cf. anomala... ha ha ha... I kinda hate that 'cf')
Lastly... Hemidactylus platycephalus.... quite a bit bigger than your average 'feeder gecko'.....
I know she is a little thin but has only been in the states for a week or two.. and I am working with her.....
I hope you all enjoy... check the SA forum for some pachy pics if you wish...

Thanks guys!
Moof - my Geckolepis are a smaller species - about 8cm total length (3 inches for us yanks). There are some larger species though, but they seem even more uncommon in captivity.
Thanks Pat.. She has been a little work.. hopefully some males will come in too. We need to herp soon! Get some of your stuff up too!
Palex (Peter I think) - Thanks also.. I know you love them.. Yes they are FAST! I would by no means consider myself a Geckolepis expert, but my experience with the WCs that I got wasn't too hot. I dealt with someone I had never dealt with before... 6 in the box.. one DOA.. and of the rest, most looked like skeletons and 2 more died within 12 hours (over night) The three I have have plumped up quite a bit with a little work and are now doing well, and seem hardy once going... just be prepared for a loss if you venture into them I guess. Or maybe I just had experience.. Can anyone else chime in on this? Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Take it easy,
