So my felinus have NEVER laid in their lay boxes. I keep a very thin layer of cocpeat (about 1/2") with some moss on top and give them a lay box that is kept pretty moist that is about 1 1/2-2" deep of cocopeat, and every time they have laid outside of the box. What are everyone else's experiances with lay boxes?

About 6 years ago when I had my first breeding pairs,I experimented with lay boxes, about after the first 2 clutches buried in the substrate, from 2 different females, they were never used again. Not saying they wont, but I dont feel there is a need if there is a good substrate around.

I've not had any luck getting my felinus to lay in a lay box either. My levis are like that too. So far it's always been pretty obvious where they've hidden them though. So I haven't worried about it.
