View Full Version : distinguishing between Gehyra vorax and marginata

What are the noticeable differences between these two? I'd *love* to have a vorax but I know they're very rare in the US and I'm more likely to get a marginata. But I'd like to be sure of what's what before I actually buy one. Using google image search just isn't working since I'm sure half the people don't know which they have...
any help is appreciated!

look into the eyes of the gecko. Are they green is it G. marginata. Real vorax from Fidji got brown eyes.

I hope this will help you!

The sample size for some of the populations are VERY small, becareful about what you take to be true for population/species averages.

wow that's detailed. that'll help if i whip out the measuring tape...

are there many marginata being captive bred or is it still mostly imports?

I have seen a few baby marginata being produced this year, but still the majority of them are WC, fresh imports.
