View Full Version : lateralis roach with mealworms?

Hi all,
Have two different questions, will post in separate threads.

I've decided to set-up a small colony of the B. lateralis - a lot of good reviews on those :). Not familiar with the roach yet, but know that unlike some other roaches they don't eat their sheds, so the tank should be cleaned more often than with other species.
Also heard that some people keep mealworms in lateralis tanks - the mealworms clean sheds and debris quite effectively. Appears to be a very good solution, hope somebody at the forum has personal experience with this and could comment on how it actually works in practice. Particularly interesting, whether the mealworms (and eventually beetles) don't eat roach oothecas and tiny nymphs.
