View Full Version : Gekko Vittatus (Feeding)

I have a gekko vittatus and im really not sure how many crickets i should feed him. he is about 6 inches. the pet store told me that they fed him every other day. he was fed about four crikets. is this the correct amount of food? i dont want him to be slowly strarving:( please help! thanks

1) Get him some roaches, as crickets are like eating popcorn, it's fun, but not really a substantial/healthy meal.
2) Offer food every day, he might not eat every day, but should at least have the option to.

4 crickets every other day is not a very substantial amount. Try feeding him as much as he will eat for a couple of days. Then determine a reasonable amount based on those numbers. Make sure that the prey items are well gutloaded and dusted with calcium.
