I have a new adolescent Leo morph and I have reptile carpet down now as a substrate but I wanted to make it look more attractive. I was thinking of slate slabs with pea pebbles inbetween and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the matter and other suggestions are more than welcome!

My suggestion is ceramic tile, cut them to fit and put a thin layer of sand below the tile. If you take the tank or measurements to lowes they will cut the tile

A warm welcome to Geckos Unlimited :yahoo:. This is a great website where geckophiles hang out.

Slate, porcelain, or ceramic tiles make great attractive, permanent, and inexpensive substrates. Just make sure they are "standard" kithchen/bathroom thickness for placing above an under-the-tank heater.

Paper towels work alright till you purchase the tiles.
