Juvenile set-up

This is a very simple set-up but works well. I keep them on 100% coconut fiber (peat works well) and offer an inverted plastic catch basin for shelter and a good-sized rock. You can also stack cork bark or offer a small cinder block.
Adult set-up

I keep them in pairs in 10-gallon tanks. The substrate is coconut fiber. There is a nestbox, vertically-situated cork bark slab and a cinder block (brick). They don't venture too far from the brick.
These are simple set-ups for a truly hardy gecko. Breeding can be a little tricky.

Greatly appreciated Nathan, why do you think breeding has proved tricky?

You have to cool them down for an extended period of time, and they really love a night drop as well. To be quite honest with you, I've done pretty well with them so far. It is common to only get one fertile egg per clutch. I LOVE THEM!!! They are extremely vocal.

I can see why you love them! Would you say there are a fairly active gecko?

Dunno?
I am curious to that to...
But I presume thats just like having two or three egg things or a kind of cork "roach motel" like I saw on anthrosomething.com?
Long day, night.

The brick is because Phyllurus platurus are mainly rock dwellers in their natural habitat.
