Default Are Strophurus ciliaris hard to attain in the US?

I didn't post this in the classifieds cause I'm only playing with the idea at this point but I've kind of fell in love with all the photos I've seen of Strophurus ciliaris both kinds in the last few weeks. I can't seem to find any for sale to give me any type of pricing refrance, I found some old adds on faunaclassifideds that were from the US but they were like 5 years old and I'm sure they are dated. I'm not the type of person whos turned off by a large price tag on a gecko but I do have some lonely ladys geckos who need mates in the near future so I'm just trying to figure out how far down the line I was looking at, befor I could finance a project...... If I could find one to buy in the first place?

thanks
-Matt

Yes, they are pretty hard to get.

I've seen some adveratised on kingsnake now and again. They pop up occasionally. I'd check with Derek, at shoeboxreptiles. He breeds them, but doesn't always have them available.

I've seen prices on pairs for around $1300-$1600 a pair.

Babies are usually $450-$500 each.

These guys also may have some for sale.

They don't seem to be the easiest of geckos to come across. I think this will change in the near future, but they are not as prevalent as I heard they once were here in the states
