I know that some people feed dubia to various Neprurus species, but has anyone had luck feeding them to Saltuarius, Phyllurus, Strophurus, etc.? If so, how are you feeding? Just toss them in a cage? Feeding bowl?
i just let them go in the cage for the species you have mentioned, but I have never fed in a bowl. I would rather not let the roaches go in the cages as they will hide and grow big, but when I see them and they are much larger than when I put them in the cage I just pick them out. I'd suggest feeding slightly smaller roaches than you would crickets as this has always worked best for me. I like your profile pic Steve, am just getting into the ptenopus!
Thanks for the info Oli and Thibault! Well, I know know that S. wyberba really like Dubia. I just walked in on one of the females slurping one down excitedly.
hello, I give my newborn and young dubia few weeks and my strophurus nephrurus the same way that crickets. they hunt very well. can be a Buddhist apple to group ****roaches. This makes hunting easier for the animals.
