Default Anyone Feeding Dubia?

Hello all,

I know that some people feed dubia to various Neprurus species, but has anyone had luck feeding them to Saltuarius, Phyllurus, Strophurus, etc.? If so, how are you feeding? Just toss them in a cage? Feeding bowl?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I use to feed Saltuarius and Strophurus with various preys. Dubia are part of them. Mine accept them without hesitation.

Concerning, Saltuarius it's seems better to provide them in the cage, even if young specimens can be accustom to eat in feeding bowl.

For Strophurus it work well in feeding bowl for me.

I have no experience with phyllurus.

Regards
Thibault

i just let them go in the cage for the species you have mentioned, but I have never fed in a bowl. I would rather not let the roaches go in the cages as they will hide and grow big, but when I see them and they are much larger than when I put them in the cage I just pick them out. I'd suggest feeding slightly smaller roaches than you would crickets as this has always worked best for me. I like your profile pic Steve, am just getting into the ptenopus!
