So, I have my pair of aberrant monilis, and I am curious if once they start breeding, if the babies will possibly be aberrant as well. I just don't know if it works like a morph of other species, or if it was a one time deal.

Hi Jim, why do you think, that this animal is abberant ? Monilis has a broad variety of patterns. To me this gecko looks relatively "normal". Best regards, Hanno

I was just told it was aberrant by the man who sold it to me. I posted pictures before and no one told me anything different. The way I have seen it, most monilis pictures have made them look mostly a more pinkish yellow, whereas these are more greenish yellow. Of course I may be wrong. I would rather be wrong and be corrected than wrong and be spouting off something untrue. Any feedback is appreciated.

In monilis the pattern varies quite a bit from small occelations to large ones to strange patterns much like yours. These variations are both natural and "normal." In my experience they can be "line bred" in that small spotted forms tend to produce small spotted offspring and large spotted forms tend to produce large spotted offspring.

So to answer your question, no it's not recessive, but they will produce aberrant offspring.
