Default O. monilis problems---prolapse???

Hello, I have a pair of O. monilis, and the female is having problems. She's trying to molt, but something pink is coming out of her genitals. It doesn't look like an egg, but im worried because she seems like having problems with it coming out. What should I do?

Could you post pictures?

If you have a prolapse on your hands, it is vital for you to get to the vet asap! A vet can gently reinsert the tissues. Sometimes the tissues will remain in place without even a stitch. One of my northern velvets once prolapsed secondary to substrate ingestion. The vet reinserted the tissues, recommended tepid water soaks daily, catlax to her lips once a day, and to feed chicken baby food till all the sand had been passed. There was only a wee bit of sand, but it was enough to cause the prolapse .

You need to keep the vent area and the prolapse lubricated/moist. KY jelly can probably do no harm. What does your vet suggest doing while you await your Wednesday appointment?

Best wishes...keep us posted.
