Default amyae incubation question

For those of you who have hatched amyae, what ratio (by weight) substate/water are you using?
My first clutch had a fertile egg (almost fully formed neonate, lots of yolk left) rupture almost 2 months into incubation, i presume from being on too damp of a substrate (vermiculite at 1:1, temp 82/83).
My next two clutches are coming along nicely but also look to be taking on too much mositure, although no egg sweating. I'm switching to perlite at a 2:1 ratio, but would love to hear what is working for others.
I also live in New Orleans where it is VERY humid (50%+ indoors with the AC running).
Thanks,
Nick

1:1, perlite:water by weight with a few airholes at 27C workes fine for amyae. The substrat drys up a bit at the end of the incubation period but thats ok.
Vermeculite and roughskin nobbies are a non optimal combination I belive.
But good eggs from healthy perents tend to hatch no matter what the condisions are.
The first cluthes from a female are often not good enough to end up as strong babies. Thats normal.

Thanks for the info.
I believe one of the other problems that I'm having is correcting the ratio throughout the incubation period bringing it back to 1:1 (which I have a habit of doing with tropicals).

Have you considered incubating over water?
