Male
Default Nephrurus milii - Eastern Type

I´ve got a question.
When we speak of an Eastern variant? I´ve got a pair of milii and an single male.
The pair weights 19g (the male) and 14g (the female). Both are over 2years old. The female has put two good eggs this year. Will hatch in 30 days.
My other male weight 26g. I think its normal.
What do you think? The first pair, is it Eastern?

No eastern. The first male is a normal hypo or light phase and the second male is from the yellow form, that - from my personal experience - tends to be a little longer but slender than the normal form. I also had a "yellow variant" female, that never produced one single fertile egg with a normal male. Let me know if you want to let this male go, I`m intersted. I can never have enough millii variants

The female seems to be normal but a little bit too small for breeding. I would separate her from the male as too small females of this species tend to egg-bounding. Together with the very nice hypo male, she should produce some nice light hatchlings for you next year.
