Default Levis baby update- Yay!!!

Both Levis eggs I was incubating hatched on 11/17 and 11/18. So total incubation time at 81-83 degrees was 78 and 79 days respectively. Whew! I was starting to think that they were not going to hatch though they continued to look "good" almost all the way through incubation. About a week before hatching they shriveled a bit and I figured they were either going to hatch or they were dried out and dead.

I'll get some pics of the hatchlings up this week, trying to give them some peace and quiet as they adapt to their new home in my baby rack. They are pretty freaking cute

Both are eating already I think though I haven't observed it directly...food seems to be disappearing from their box and both showed interest in the baby roaches as soon as I put them in. I never saw a initial shed and I think they both have some yolk on their skin so I guess they didn't wait for that to start eating.

A couple more pics of the little guys, still trying to minimize disturbances so I just grabbed a couple shots of each. Both are eating pretty eagerly now, fed some crickets today along with my photo intrusion . I try to get all my animals eating both crickets and roaches at the minimum....I know some folks feel that leads to finicky eating but that hasn't been my experience. Now that they have both shed they are looking a lot sharper too
