You must have had a great trip. Why are nocturnal geckos out during the day?

N.levis occidentalis was very very abundant near Coral Bay ; in fact it is difficult to drive without taking the risk to kill them on the road. We have seen lots of male and gravid females.

We have met this gecko from the sunset til very late ; although the wind is cool and very powerfull they stay on the road looking for some heat and cruising crickets and spiders

Those specimens are not the "best coloured" we have seen but as I have a basic camera with a non optimal flash I only took picts of geckos seen late in the night and "asked to wait" til the morning and released !!!

Strophurus rankini and Diplodactylus conspicillatus were also very abundant.
