Default eastern milii!?!

Hi guys,

I found this little one at the hamm show a week ago. It was signed with "rare south form", but the pattern made me thinking of the eastern type and i am quite sure that i am right. So, would someone please have a look and give me feedback,

Regards,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

to me it shows signs of both forms. The neck band is very thin, but the pattern looks too much "banded" for the eastern form.
It might be an aberrant southern or an intergrade between eastern and southern. To me it does not look like any pure Underwoodisaurus milii from the eastern variation I have seen so far.

Kind regards
Karsten

A nice light male- and now it looks perfectly like the eastern form! Congratulations! Good catch.

Hi Pepe,

this one looks really nice! I breed eastern and southern/western locality and I have seen some hybrids of both forms. Having a look at the pattern of yours and especially the head morphology of the young makes me very sure, that it is a mix of both forms.
It is really hard to get any pure one these days.

Thank you,best regards Jürgen
