Default Digging and Substrate

Hey there, i've just got myself a trio of levis levis and am loving the little fellas. I've noticed that they are having a bit of trouble digging their burrows. the red sand that i have in the tank for them isn't holding enough, i was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me on how to get the sand to hold up a bit to allow them to burrow a bit easier. I was thinking of spraying the tank a bit more but i wasn't sure if that would be good for them.

Any advice would be awesome

yes that's correct , they will usually build in the moist hide are and the moisture holds sand together.

Spraying every other day on that side should do the trick!

Default Stable ground

Hi,
one trick to make the substrate more stable for digging burrows is to add a certain amount of loam powder to the sand (about 1 part loam powder to 10 or 15 parts of sand). You have to mix them when the compounds are absolutely dry. Then, after misting and drying out, the mixture will keep stable (but not hard).

Best regards, Hanno
