Default Nephrurus laevissimus care tips

Hello all,

Can anyone provide tips on keeping Nephrurus laevissimus? I've heard that they can be more challenging than most other Nephrurus. I have a couple juveniles heading my way when the temperatures warm up enough to ship (and after the holiday shipping glut). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Steve

I keep them like a N. l. levis. I always pinched the back legs on the crickets too which helped them to catch them as sometimes if I didn't do that, they'd be still hunting the crickets the morning after but they just weren't powerful enough to dominate and eat the crickets. I noticed that was the case with males more so than females as the females are a lot larger and more aggressive feeders. My males live on like 2-3 crickets a week.

I also keep them like N. levis levis( thick sand layer that is kept moist) . I feed mostly crickets and the are caught very fast and easily but it depends from animal to animal .
