Is it legal to just go out and catch banded geckos in Arizona? At my old house in Arizona we had hundreds of them all over our property. Just want to know if it would be OK to catch them for myself..

You can catch Coleonyx in Arizona, you just need a hunting license. There is a yearly bag limit of 2 geckos and a possession limit of 4 geckos.

I just found a pdf file called "Collection, Trade, and Regulation of Reptiles and Amphibians of The Chihuahuan Desert" And it says you can collect 20 in one day and only have that many in your possesion... So, did the law get changed or something? It's on page A-26 and it's in section D...

OK..... So I found another pdf file at AZ Master Baiters (hehehe no joke) that has the 2007 and 2008 laws and you can take 20 per day and have 20 in possesion! Anyway, thanks again!!

Go to Arizona Fishing, Lakes, Information and down load it. It's not hard to find it is on the right side of the first page. Once you have the pdf loaded it's the last page - section C - Lighted in gray.... Don't feel bad about reading the white line above the first time!lol I did it to!! I had to read over the pages like 3 times before I saw a was reading the wrong line!lol I really do appreciate you trying to help though!
