Default Thinking about a banded

Today I was in a petshop with my son. We have many Leos, cresteds, uroplatus, bearedies, and Vorax geckos. They question is the banded I saw was having shed issues. Its feet were almost completely white with old shed and it had some stuck to its head. I've dealt with this in the past with Uros. what I need to know is are the bandeds real skittish? I don't want to get one and stress it out completly. It seems to have a black head and is @ 6-7" nose to tail. I was told their care is similar to Leos. They are asking $40.00. I was going to try and negotiate due to its condition any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure it has a darker head with darker coloring. The sales person wouldn't let me hold it so I couldn'et get a good look at it.

Sounds like it might be C mitratus(most likely) or elegans(not so likely). In any case they are far from leos in the care and if the pet shop keeps them like leos I can understand if the poor gecko are having a shedding issue.

Both of those need a more humid environment and slightly cooler temps to be fine but apart from that they are both easy to care for. If you think you have a serious possibilty of removing the old skin without causing damage I would recommend you to go for it.

In my opinion they are lovely animals. Good luck.

Maybe I'm off-base here, but it seems like this is starting to look like it belongs in the classifieds. Do you think you can conduct your 'business' via PM instead of here on the forum? Thanks...

Yes, Marcia is correct. Please do not post animals for sale in the public forums. This needs to be done via the classifieds or in private via PM or email.
Thanks
