Some nights ago, i observed a mating of my pair of Texas bandeds. This took only 1,5 minutes. Im not sure if they were disturbed by me as i opened the door of their enclosure in order to take a photo. Has anyone here observed such short matings too?

I have observed the same on occasion. The time in which they breed varies.

sometimes the mating can be very fast, especially if its been a while since the male got some.

did you notice if he was smoking a cigarette afterwards?

Although he's from Texas he doesn't smoke
