Default Inter-grade Banded Gecko

So, a couple of weeks ago, my buddy and I were herping out by Palm Springs and were finding all sorts of nice animals. On my "keep" list were some Coleonyx v. abbotti, since I lost my pair at the end of last season. We weren't having any luck, so we decided to go flip some snakes (rosys and rattlesnakes), take some pictures,etc... We were climbing some HUGE boulders on a hillside, when my buddy uncovered this animal, under a capstone, at the top of a 30+ foot boulder. It is a perfect inter-grade (half way between an abbotti and a variegatus). Color of a San Diego banded (abbotti) with the large size of a desert banded (c.v.variegatus). I then uncovered a juvie, under a different capstone, but IT GAVE ME THE SLIP!!!! So, I just have this male for now. Since I have not seen an animal like this before and have never found them under capstones, I thought I would share:

For comparison's sake next to a norml borrego banded:
