Default Keeping some humidity on one end

Is there any natural lookin ways of doing this?
I read somewhere about doing 2 clay pots stacked on eachother and the top filled with water.
Would it be possible if I did something similar with say sandstone?
Say I grind a bowl ontop to hold water then like a small cave under it?
I figure water would leak bleed thru the sandstone and keep the rock moist
Or would that be a dumb idea? I just like the all natural look in the habitats
Any info would help thanks

that would probably work but would the sand stone decay over time? i use a glad wear container that i cut down to the right size and filled with moss. i put it directly on the glass above the heat pad then filled the sand in around it. i have what i believe is a zoo med rock cover over it and you cant tell anything is even underneath. it works good at keeping everything moist and even allows the little guys to burrow in the moist sand.

This was what I did for my setup. It works well if you want to keep everything natural looking. It’s just a hole in some compacted sand filled with damp substrate. It becomes a nice humid hide for the geckos.
