Hello Everyone,

I am wondering what the proper breeding weight is for C.Mitratus. I have a few wild caught so I do not know their age. They seem to me to not be nearly adult size or ready to breed. They are definitely sex able however. Here is a pic of Lucy one of the females.

Please let me know what guidelines you use for safe breeding on C.Mitratus.

I've had imported and captive bred start breeding as early as 6 months. If you plan to bred them keep them well fed with gut loaded crickets, mealies, etc. All your feed should be dusted with calcium. My bandeds are usually around 9 - 10 grams in weight. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input. Lucy is only 4.5g my largest is 6g. Looks like I will be waiting till next season.
