Its very important that your elok females are not to young for breeding.
I think an age of 14 month is minimum, otherwise the females breaking easily
Adult females are bigger and stronger as adult males.
Eloks can produce clutches every 6 weeks, so its very important that you give them enough calcium and d3. Try snails.
Gravid elok females you find in nature at 11 of 12 months/year gravid.
Same in captivity.
