Hi!

I have very little experience with elok, but it is positive.

I keep the only animal ( a female, wc) that I have ever had, in a ten gallon, natural set-up. Peat substrate, vines, and a cork tube that she really favors.

I simply feed the cage and dont bother the animal. Spray once per day and the temps are in the 70s.

Timm

For a quaranteine tank, I would go all natural and provide food&water and hope for the best.

I agree with Tim. Disturb them as little as possible in the first month you have them. The worst thing you can do is to move them from one enclosure to another. I did this with a batch and they died. The second batch I left alone, didn't quarantine, just put them in a heavily planted enclosure with lots of hiding spots. They are doing great. Once they settle in they seem pretty hardy.

Glad to hear that someone with more experience agrees with me!

I did as you told me Viktor, and my female is putting on weight and doing pretty well. Still does not like to be touched at all, but that is a decent trade off to be able to have her live. She is especially fond of her cork tube, which is elevated above the substrate, in the vines.
