problem with gravid cyrtodactylus peguensis
Hi everyone,
my female peguensis is gravid and one of the embryos died. It is black and shriveled. The other one looks healthy, white with blood vessels. The dead embryo has pushed out the healthy one to the side, and it sticks out severely. She appears healthy and active and does not seem to be bothered by her condition, even though the healthy embryo is pushed way out to the side and looks like a huge tumor.
Anyway, I fear that she will get egg bound sooner or later, because of the dead embryo, and die. I hear this happens with pegus frequently. Does anyone have any advice for how to deal with this? Will she be able to pass the dead embryo when she lays? Is there anything a vet could do?
