droppin' tail

Posted 11-15-2008 at 03:40 PM by fluke
hey guys, i'm new to the board due to a recent incident with my giant leaf tail gecko's tail. yeah it fell off! i'm heart broken over that because he might give up on me, like one of my last ones with a broken arm. i know it
isn't as serious as a broken arm but those bastard little crickets love fresh meat. especially when i season his tail stump with a lime smelling antibiotic. this gecko has been
my best little buddy for 6 years now and i'd love to keep him to the end of his natrual...

P. klemmeri egg.

Posted 11-09-2008 at 05:24 PM by Phelsuma04
Well my young female laid her first egg on the first of November. A single egg clutch and I am excited to be incubating it. I have it at 84 degrees to produce a male hopefully. It is a shame because I already have two geckos from this bloodline in my group so I will have to get rid of this one. A buddy of mine will probably take it in a trade for some Lygodactylus williamsi.

Here is a pic.

Leo ate wasp.....

Posted 11-06-2008 at 12:01 AM by jennifer
OK, if anyone has had this happen, please let me know. I swatted a wasp with a fly swatter and it landed right in terrarium with leo gecko. Before I could react (okay, I didn't rush to his aid) the gecko jumped on it and ate it. Will he suffer much or die? (I don't mean the wasp)

Uroplatus safe plants!

Posted 11-05-2008 at 02:42 PM by Uroplatusking
Uroplatus safe Plants

I have kept, bred, and studied uroplatus geckos for over 30 years now. I find the best way to keep all uroplatus species in general is in a large screen enclousre relative to the species size, species, ect. high humidity, and lots of live plants! Your delicate uroplatus and plants will thrive outdoors during the summer months. Wild caught specimens should not be enclouse in a "Fake" artifical aquarium style cage, but in a roomy live planted enclosure...
