Central America

Posted 05-22-2010 at 07:03 PM by BlueRose330

This summer I am traveling to Central America, and am not familiar with the local gecko species. If anyone has some firsthand or secondhand tips about finding any specific geckos...please tell me. I would love to get some great pictures of my favorite reptilian creatures.

Thanks

Purchasing a New Gecko

Posted 01-23-2009 at 04:18 PM by BlueRose330

I am planning on adding a new addition to my gecko collection , and am inquiring on what species of gecko to get. I have had my one helmeted gecko who I was planning on breeding ; but my efforts in finding a second helmeted gecko for him, were futile Now, instead of naturally increasing the gecko populace, I'm looking for a gecko to buy. I have over 20 animals I take care of so I'm looking for a gecko that's hardy (doesn't need feeding daily) but docile.

Incubation (storebought? vs. homeade?)

Posted 01-20-2009 at 05:35 PM by BlueRose330

-I am preparing to end my Gecko's hibernation period and need a toll of educated opinions. Based on personal experience or second hand experience (read in a book, heard from this gecko person....), whether a store bought incubator is more effective or reliable than a homeade one.

Helmeted Gecko (Tarentole Chazaliae)

Posted 01-19-2009 at 11:10 AM by BlueRose330

I have a helmeted gecko (native to moracco), but there is little info known about these geckos and their habits. I was planning on courting and mating my male with a female, but I don't know what type of hovabator to buy, how to keep the humidity up, or setting to put on for the eggs (if they sucessfully mate). The eggs are about one centimeter in length.

If anyone has any facts or info please reply
