Female
Default a young felinus egglayer

For exp. felinus keepers, have you encountered this?

Returning from a week vacation, I found this in one of my 8 month felinus enclosures. This is from a virgin female with absolutely no exposure to another male or female.
As a side note; I am quite familiar with other gecko sp. laying inf. eggs with only limited exposure (literally minutes) to a male (no mating involved) or with exposure to a gravid adult female, as well as egg reabsorption in adults and young virgin gecko species.

Thanks,
Sarah.

I don't think this is an egg. Do you use RO water or normal water? It looks to me like a “calcium stone”. I think Marcus can help you with that.

Good thinking Tim, I forgot to add that info. I use RO/DI. It's not urate, I cut the other one open.

I've never had any felinus egg come out looking like that! Very odd looking. But to answer your question, I've never had any of my felinus females lay eggs without being exposed to a male.

Just to add to this thread, Brenda (Geckoz) recently had a female which had no contact with a male lay a pair of eggs. So, apparently it does, on occasion, happen with felinus.

I just thought I would say that I have also had infertile eggs when the female hadn't been with the male for more than a year.
