Question Help! Not doing well!

I have two female cat geckos. However, one of them is not doing well. I noticed that she did not shed correctly the last shed and now it seems that she is not eating as she is getting thin. I have now seperated them. Is there something special I can try to feed to her? Any suggestions? I have them on the bottom shelf of a rack system where there is zero heat strips, have them on peat moss with one side kept moist, have hiding places on each end. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

What are your temps and humidity? What are you feeding her? Is this a wild caught animal? Or captive bred? If wild caught, how long has it been captive?

Default Cat Gecko

Thank you for replying! She is captive bred. I feed her crickets that have been dusted. I did put a few meal worms in with her a couple days ago but she did not touch them. I just checked and crickets that I put in last night have not been eaten either. As for the temp it is high 70,s to low 80's. I have her on the bottom shelf of my rack system where there is no heat strip. My son's room stays pretty warm though because of all the lights we have for our other species. For the humidity I do not have a guage in there but keep one side dry and the peat moss mixture moist on the other. She is now shedding again and not very well. The other female continues to do fine but please let me know if there is something I need to change or can do for the sickly one! Your answers are very much appreciated!

I would seperate the animals. They really don't do well housed together in general. I'd lower the temps to low-mid 70's. And I'd spray more often for higher humidity. These guys are really sensative to temps and humidity. Also, if you're not already, you should only be using distilled water or RO water with these guys. Also, keep in mind that these guys are somewhat arboreal. So make sure she has stuff to climb on (like plants) and maybe some rocks or something with a rough surface to give her something to rub against to help her shed. You might want to post some pics of the animal and the enclosure that she lives in. It would help in figuring out what's wrong.
