i was wondering if anyone has used a blue or red light to watch there cats at night and if they seem affected by it? i just got of them and iam finding it very hard to see them in there cage as they only come out when its totaly dark in the room,

also iam useing coco "peat" as a substrate is this a good choice iam worried about them swalllowing some when they go after the crickets?

I don't use any lights on mine at any time of the day simply because I find it hard enough to keep them at properly cool temps without adding the heat from a light. As for "seeing" them, I sometimes go weeks without seeing some of mine. They're a shy and secretive animal.

I've been using a peat/potting soil/sand mix for years with mine and never had any occurrence of impaction.

do you think that blue and red light can affected ? because i'd like but some LED for the plant grow. it's a very good solution.

But if this light can stress it's not very good.

Blue is: 465nm
Red: 630 nm

I fear for their eyes ? does reptiles see this wavelenght ? or not ?
