This Goniurosaurus is not new, he was discovered already in the year 2008 and was described also 2008. He doesn't come from Mekong delta either, he comes from the island Cat Ba,this lies in Gulf of Torkin.
You can look more pictures this Goniurosaurus at my internet side.

Thanks for the clarification Markus. I received a press release about this gecko and several other new species of reptile and amphibian from Vietnam dated today. Didn't know it was described in 2008. Still, that's pretty new!
