Default Sick G. luii. Please help!

My sweet G.luii had gone very sick. I don't feed him every day (night), but 2 days ago he wouldn't eat and hasn't been eating since. Today he is all sleepy and don't want to move at all. When I took him up he just laid in my hand, not moving at all.

I've had him for about a year and before that friends of me had him for almost a year and it has never been a problem.

He had some trouble shedding when he lived with my friends but the last year he's been doing it trouble free. Last week was the last time he did it.

Please help! What could it be and what can I do?

Without more info I can't be much help. Is there a veterinarian in your area who specializes in herps? Not eating for a couple of days is not problem as lizards can go for quite some time and be okay, but the lethargy isn't good. They are resistant to low temps so I think a quick trip to the vet may be the answer. Here in the states they usually just give them a ml of enro or metro (shortened version of longer anti-biotic names I can't remember) a couple times a day as a blanket remedy that has some success. I'm not a huge fan of shoving anti-biotics at everything, but sometimes it does the trick. Good luck and hope your little one gets better soon.

If this still helps you (or others), enro is short for enrofloxacin and metro for metronidazole (wich also works very well for parasites - flagelates).
