Default Sick lichtenfelderi...

Hello! I had a trio of G. lichtenfelderi arrive about a month and a half ago. Now in the last few days the male seems to have grown sick... From what I do not know, he looks thin and has dropped his tail despite having been the best eater earlier, theres some kind of thin film or membrane(?) covering some of the scales on his head too... He seems slow aswell. I separated him from the females first thing to make sure that whatever it is wouldn't spread. They've lived together up until this, the females look very healthy and great but the male looks terrible now. Anyone know what could be wrong with him? I know its a very vague description, will try and get a picture if possible.

Mites? Mites gives a silver film over the body. You can see them as red dots around and in the eye. On the skin you see little black dots .

Default sick cave geckos

I've usually have not seen mites on these geckos. However, if you don't adjust the amounts of humidity and foreign debris in the cage such as poop and stuffy air, you can get fungal growth on their skins. I have lost a few Wild caught geckos this way. solution? I don't know but good luck.

Hey, I've been very busy so not responded for awhile. They were bought as CB, but I'm quite sure now that they were simply labelled as such and were actually WC animals... I've lost one of the females to exact same symptoms. The cage was kept clean and the humidity is kept at about 65ish with a humid shelter. The last female seem to be doing good, but I'm very worried about her.

the best advice to give is to go to a good reptile vet and get them checked or whats left it can get expensive but worth it in the end with health animals
