    Default Lighting Question


    LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD   


    Just curious if an Aqua glo 18,000k light bulb would be safe for crested geckos, i was gonna use it just for lighting because i have plenty spares. Main question is i didnt want to harm the gecko.

    are you talking about one of these?

    unless your tank is pretty tall, a T8 is going to be overkill for a crestie and might potentially damage his eyes.

    yeah thats it. its not real bright, but it has alot of blue light which can mess with human eyes, not aure for the repriles.

    oh yeah, fried-eye is a thing. especially considering your gecko is nocturnal.
