help with transporting crested gecko this Sunday!

This means we will be tight on time and need to go directly from SEWERfest to the soccer game. We'll need to leave the gecko in the car for about an hour and a half in about 40 degree temps. If needed, my son can stay in the car with it running while we're at the game. But, is there some way I can package the gecko to keep him warm enough for an hour and a half instead of running the car?

For car transport I suggest packaging just as if you were doing an overnight shipment.
Container/deli cup, inside an insulated box. For a trip of just a couple of hours, you won't need any special heating or heat pack or anything, keeping the package at room temp/normal car temp is fine.
Don't apply any special heating or cooling to your package during the ride, don't stick it on the dash in the sun, or in front of a heating vent, your comfortable ambient car temp is fine, the insulated box will protect if from any significant temp swings.

Thanks for the info. I guess my question was what to do when we have to leave the gecko in the car for 1.5 hours when the car won't be running (so no heat on). My son can stay in the car with it running if that is our only option, but I'm looking for other options.
