Default Male crested geckos burrowing on the substrate?

Is this normal? I'm a bit worried because hes unable to stick to anything. He recently shed and was sticking to the glass but the next day he had stopped sticking.

Not being able "to stick" is a significant problem!

    Please help us troubleshoot:
    1. Diet he eats
    2. Extra supplements: brand names and frequency?
    3. Picture of enclosure
    4. Size of enclosure
    5. Picture of crestie
    6. Approximate age, length, weight of crestie
    7. Temperature range of enclosure

===> No plain calcium, calcium with D3, or multivitamins inside an enclosure <===

    Oedura castelnaui ~ Lepidodactylus lugubris ~ Phelsuma barbouri ~ Ptychozoon kuhli ~ Cyrtodactylus peguensis zebraicus ~ Phyllurus platurus ~ Eublepharis macularius ~ Correlophus ciliatus ~ (L kimhowelli) ~ (P tigrinus) ~ (P klemmeri) ~ (H garnotii)

he seems to be sticking again but he is still burrowing on the substrate. It might be related to breeding as I purchased him 1 week ago from a guy that was breeding him. He flashed both his penises last night and licked them.

"Not sticking" is really not related to breeding.

If his diet is not correct, "not sticking" could be related to vitamin D3 levels.

Pangea's Fruit Mix Complete -- Watermelon & Mango Gecko Food?

UVB for geckos is a "science" of sorts. Proper UVB for any genus depends upon
    1. Type of UVB -- bulb or tube
    2. ***Brand of tube fluorescent or compact fluorescent
    3. Perching places
    4. Distance from source
    5. Accommodation for screen tops
    6. Places to hide

    The best sources of UVB
    • Zoo Med tube fluorescents: T8 or T5 tubes
    • Zoo Med compact fluorescent bulbs
    • Arcadia compact fluorescent bulbs

He might be burrowing due to need for more moisture ... or to cool down if it is too hot .... check the temps in there ... ?

he exploded and died. I found him deflated the other day. IDK what was wrong with him. I'm incredibly sad because IDK why it happened.

If you provide details from the above posts, we might be able to figure out what could have caused his death. Right now we know very little.
