    Default Hey Everyone + Breeding

Hello, everyone, I'm new here and was wondering a few things about breeding crested geckos. Currently, I own a single mocha crested gecko that I have now had for about 8 months. I have an area set aside to set up a pair of creties (not going to breed my current one), and the babies thay would have. My plan is to setup two 18x18x24's one for gecko I am breeding, and about four 8x8x12's to house each pair of babies. What do ya'll think about it?

In my opinion that should work OK, with the following things to consider:
--if you don't sell your cresties before they get big, they may outgrow the enclosures you have planned for them
--if you produce more than 4 cresties, where are you going to put them?

I was using 6qt shoebox sized tubs for my hatching cresties and gargs, transferring them into 12x12x18 enclosures if necessary. Some people feel that the shoeboxes aren't tall enough for these arboreal geckos but it worked for me.

Ya, I was thinking about just stacking some shoeboxes as I could fit about 20x the amount of geckos in the same space lol.

I use small kritter keepers .... the babies go right into one as soon as they hatch. It has a small hide, paper towel flooring and some greens. Most are sold before they get too big .. but I do have larger keepers as needed. I only upgrade small babies if they are keepers vs one listed for sale. If I am keeping them I will upgrade as needed to as 12 x 12 x 12 and 12 x 18 ...

I am personally not a fan of tubs ...
