Exclamation Is it okay to never give cresties live food?

I have 2 cresties. One 8 year old crestie I adopted last year, and a baby she laid while in my care (I did not breed her, she was with males at her previous home). I take good care of them. I give them many fake plants and hides and they both have approximately sized enclosures. I spray them every night and feed them Pangea. The thing is, is it really okay to NEVER feed live food? I remember reading before getting my cresties that live food is not necessary on a diet of Pangea. My mother will not let me bring any bugs into the house (she won't even allow me to take the gecko outside in a critter keeper and feed it outside.) I feed the baby gecko the Breeding and Growth Pangea mixed with the Apricot Pangea. The adult gecko gets the watermelon Pangea mixed with the Apricot Pangea. I just feel badly because I keep seeing my baby gecko trying to hunt and biting at different things in his/her cage, but yet I'm not able to provide that hunting expierence. Plus the baby is almost 10 months old but weights only 4 grams. I've posted photos on crested gecko groups on Facebook and everyone says he/she looks healthy, even though she/he is so small. The mother barely eats her Pangea, but she is also healthy and maintains a weight of 45 grams. Both geckos are pooping well. Is it okay for me to keep them knowing I can't ever feed them live? Will they live a good life on only Pangea?
    Thank you!

Yes, the Pangea is a complete diet, and they will do fine without bugs. The insects are more of an enrichment for them, rather than a necessity. You can do as you are doing and offer the Breeding Formula. That has insects in it, as does the Fruit Mix With Insects. Many cresties lose interest in bugs when they get older anyway. So yours should do fine on just the Pangea. Keep weighing them on a regular basis. If they gain weight, or hold steady, they are fine; there's only a problem if they are consistently losing weight.
