More likely he has a strong prey drive, and thought your finger was a big worm.

Congratulations! I would not worry too much, this happened to me after I fed my little one a couple of wax worms, she absolutely LOVE those but have to be very conservative on how often she eats them to not spoil her usual appetite of Pangea complete mix, mainly just a treat. Every since I gave her live food I have experienced her being more prey driven, she is an active huntress and sometimes she thinks my finger is a big worm, just don't panic and fling him if he does bite, at most you'll feel a bit of pressure. I have also experienced geckos bonding with a specific person so let him also get used to you and you should be alright! Keep an eye out on what substrate you use to avoid impaction if you have a munchie cresti as well. Take it one day at a time
