I could finally tell if mine ate. I gave him some CGD and i cut up a banana slice into little pieces and threw a few in with the CGD. I woke up in the morning and the banana was gone .

He also finally let me pick him up, but i was worried he would try to run away so I didn't have a free hand to snap a picture.

its tough to tell if he ate or not last night.. i might have to try the banana idea. Did yours pick the peices out of the CGD?

im assuming its eating because this would be day 4 without food if it hasnt.

During the day do you put yours in a room with windows? Im just wondering if the daytime light would effect his sleep. I can keep my blinds closed if i need to. he has a little hut but instead he wedges himself under some fake leaves during the day.. im just hoping he can sleep when its so bright in my room!

He must have ate some of the CGD in addition to the banana. According to the breeder he was raised almost exclusively on CGD so I'm assuming he ate a bit of that before trying the banana.

His vivarium is adjacent to a window, but because of the angle light doesn't shine directly on it. He sleeps between the leaves of a fake Ficus plant. I also close the blinds about halfway.
